Backpacking Yoga Retreat on the Long Trail in Vermont

Mark your calendar and register now to spend a weekend in the backcountry practicing yoga and backpacking in the beautiful Green Mountains. This trip is a wonderful way to explore the backcountry with the confidence and support of experienced leaders.

I am so excited to offer another yoga retreat in the Green Mountains! Once again, we'll be hiking the Long Trail and this trip staying at Stratton Pond backcountry site in Stratton, VT.

We will take care of the logistics, provide all meals, and help you obtain any gear you need so you're fully prepared for this adventure. Yoga and meditation will be woven throughout the weekend.

Before our trip, we'll hold a Zoom meeting to complete a pre-trip gear check, learn how to pack your backpack, and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to help everyone feel confident and at ease before the trip. This meeting will also give you an opportunity to get to know the other participants before your adventure begins.

Early Bird: $350 (register and pay by 7/31)
Regular: $400 (after 7/31)

Anticipated Itinerary

Day 1 (Friday, 9/25) – Meet at the Stratton Pond Trailhead on Kelley Stand Road in Peru, VT, between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. We'll hike 3.7 miles, gaining approximately 400 feet of elevation on a gradual incline to the Stratton Pond Shelter, which will serve as our base camp for the weekend.

Day 2 (Saturday, 9/26) – We'll hike to the summit of Stratton Mountain and enjoy beautiful views from the fire tower. This out-and-back hike is 6.2 miles total, with 1,350 feet of elevation gain over the first 3.1 miles before returning to base camp.

Day 3 (Sunday, 9/27) – We'll start the day with breakfast and a morning yoga practice before hiking the 3.7 miles back to the trailhead. We expect to return to the cars between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.
